Ocean City Trash and Recycling Guidelines

RECYCLE Bottles and Cans:

Bottles, cans and jars can be mixed and placed in any rigid container with a "Bottles & Cans" recycling label

• ALL Glass and Plastic bottles, Jars and Jugs

• Aluminum and Steel (Tin) Cans

• Empty aerosol cans (toiletries & cleaning products)

RECYCLE Paper and Cardboard:

Paper and cardboard can be mixed and set out in brown paper bags or in a container with a "Paper" recycling label

• ALL Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs

• Paper Back Books

• Office Paper

• Junk Mail

• Envelopes

• Corrugated Cardboard (wavy layer in the middle)

• Pizza Boxes (if not food contaminated)

RECYCLE Yard Waste:

• Grass clippings, leaves, vegetative growth, prunngs, shrubs and branches under 4' in kraft bag or labeled container

• Brush must be bundled and tied with twine

For Trash - put bags in trash cans with lids

PUT ADDRESS ON ALL TRASH AND RECYCLING CONTAINERS

Collection Schedules:

Summer (mid-June to Saturday after Labor Day)

• Monday & Thursday - Longport bridge to north side of 9th Street

• Tuesday & Friday - South side of 9th Street to North side of 28th Street

• Wednesday & Saturday - South side of 28th Street to 59th Street

Underlined day is Yard Waste collection

Winter

• Monday - South side of 34th Street to 59th Street

• Tuesday - South side of 17th Street to North side of 34th Street

• Wednesday - South side of 9th Street to North side of 17th Street

• Thursday - South side of 3rd Street to North side of 9th Street

• Friday - Longport bridge to North side of 3rd Street

Shelter Road Recycling Drop-off - NO TRASH

Summer: Monday - Saturday,  8 AM - 3PM

Winter: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday,  9AM - 3 PM
