Whether you live in Ocean City or just come to visit
during the summer, there is so much to do. Besides having a great library,
we also have the
Ocean
City Historical Museum, a swimming pool and
fitness center and an art center. There are many neighboring organizations
you can join such as Kiwanis, Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus to name a
few and there are always bridge groups, pinochle groups and now a few red
hat groups right in Ocean City.
During the summer you can go on the boardwalk or in the town itself to play miniature golf or go to arcades. There is a public golf course if miniature golf is not your forte. South Jersey has public and private golf in almost every community. Ocean City has amusement parks, playground and sports courts and fields.
If you don't mind traveling, there are numerous sites to visit in adjoining towns. There are numerous museums. You can gamble and sightsee in Atlantic City to browsing, shopping and eating in Cape May. Philadelphia is 60 miles away and New York is a 2-3 hour trip by bus or car. If you want to go further, there is an international airport right outside of Atlantic City.
